More brave folk ready to serve time vfor Perry
From Pennsylavania:

I too would be willing to serve the sentence of this decent man. Here’s is my contact information. He and his family has suffered enough.

Mike Ference
Clairton, PA 15025

And a little light humour for good measure…

When Wendy Moore, a Canadian, got word that Kay Goodnow is set to serve time for Perry she whipped off a couple of emails Kay’s way:

HOORAY FOR KAY!!! I CANNOT YELL THIS LOUD ENOUGH. I’D BE HONOURED TO BE YOUR CELL MATE!!!
……
Please advise which jail I should show up at. Perhaps I should call in advance to book us a smoking suite, preferable with satellite TV and wireless internet service. Currently packing accessories to wear with our jumpsuits. We’ll have to look good for the cameras when we lead the demonstrations inside the hoosegow. :-))) Drat, I wish my computer was hooked up. Photoshop is calling me from afar.

On a more serious note, Perry Dunlop is scheduled to learn his fate at 1000 hours (10am) Monday 19 November 2007 at Ontario Divisional Court (130 Queen St. West, Osgoode Hall), Toronto, Ontario). Justice Glaude wants Perry punished. The Cornwall Police Service wants Perry punished. The OPP wants Perry punished. Everyone who’s protecting the “alleged” paedophiles of Cornwall wants Perry punished.

…..for trying to protecting children!!!

What has this once great nation come to?

I am personally guessing yet another act of perfect charity is in the offing – the pan ultimate institutional response to historic allegations of sex abuse: jail the whistleblower!
Alas I can’t get to Toronto this morning. Would that I could. And no broadcast of events! It should be broadcast live so the world can see the depths to which this “public” inquiry has sunk. We saw the prelude at the Weave Shed courthouse. We should be privy to the sequel at Divisional Court. It’s all part and parcel of the inquiry, isn’t it?

Anyway, John MacDonald has kindly agreed to cover events on my behalf. He will be in touch as soon as possible after the hearings wrap up. As soon as I hear anything I will let you know.

I’ve now posted Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of Perry’s “story” – his Will State. I am now working on Part 4. If I can’t get it squared away completely I’ll post it as “Under Construction” and fix it up later. Also at a future date I will link to the documents referenced throughout. Many are already posted on the site.

Back at the Weave Shed courthouse hearings resume at 1300 hours (1pm). First an ODE to Nelson Barque, the probation officer who committed suicide. Then an ODE to Ken Seguin, another probation officer who committed suicide. (ODE is an Overview of Documentary Evidence, the commission’s account of available evidence for an individual who is, for whatever reason, unable to take the stand)

How many of the gathered throng will be off in Toronto today to take a few more swipes at Perry Dunlop remains to be seen.

More to the point, how many will be there to defend him?

Yes indeed. The ultimate institutional response to historic allegations of sex abuse.

Enough for now,
