  1. Vince Sanregret says:

Thank you for all the hard work it must have been to compile this list. All 3 of the priests I knew growing up are on it! I wonder why the media ie CBC hasn’t covered this story?

    Thank you

  2. Denise says:

I saw the names of 3 priests, I knew very well. It is very sad, they are not the ones, who hurt our 2 boys, back 30 years ago. May he rest in peace.

  3. Justice says:

What about those who were church workers within the church (like cleaners or assistants)? Or those who were adult alter servers? What can be done about those guys who preyed on innocent children?
Thank you for all your hard work on this blog. It is good to see that the ones who have suffered and continue to suffer from the trauma that was inflicted on them have not been forgotten.

  4. Mervan Struthers says:

Need a response. My dad was the herdsman in the early 60’s what I am wonder why I wet the bed after I stand at brothers in the middle doom.

  5. Sylvia says:

You lost me Mervan. Are there typos in there? It’s making no sense to me. Could you perhaps rewrite your comment using different words?

  6. Mervan Struthers says:

What do you mean? I stayed in the small room at the back they where called drooms.

  7. Sylvia says:

The small room at the back where? In a school?

    Which brothers?

  8. Justice says:

    To Serve & Protect
RCMP to review 25,000 more sexual assault cases

  9. Sean says:

I was there. (St. Johns) Some serious names missing. Thanks for all the work on the site.

  10. Tweedie says:

Having read the gravity of many of the assaults and the pathetic sentances meted out to these predictors, I conclude that the punishment is insufficient. The targets … particularly the more vulnerable minors … many who are now damaged adults, must feel like the crimes perpetrated against them have not been adequatly addressed. If I was one of those victims, I would be VERY upset. The whole issue is very creepy.

    • Anon says:

This CBC report for which you have included a link is incomplete. George Epoch was molesting altar boys in Schreiber Ontario as far back as 1959. I know, I was one.
What I find most interesting is the cover up by E.Q. Jennings. A subsequent parish priest Father Cano was being teased by us (Grade 8 pupils ) in 1961 about how nice Epoch was. Father Cano lost his cool and said that “One day we would know about him.” Meaning good old George.
My point….the bishop and others knew what Epoch was doing. All that was done is he was sent away. Shortly thereafter Epoch was abusing kids in Spanish. And E.Q.? He had a school named after him.

  11. Servant says:

There was another Kelowna priest, Father John C. Fidelis Forrester. He taught at Immaculata High School, in the diocese of Nelson, for a time in the 1970’s…I believe for one year…he was from Seattle…and left very suddenly. I do not know if anything was done to investigate any abuse that took place in Kelowna. Funny thing there is little mention of him being in Kelowna, except for one listing in one forum:

He is also mentioned here: (You have to do a search of his name)

  12. Anonymous says:

Father Andy Dwyer. Not sure when the allegations in the linked article were but I remember he abused me about 20 years ago when I was 8ish at St. John the Divine Parish in London Ontario. He was at St. John the Divine from 1997-2000 according to the parish website.

  13. Réal Fradette says:

My name is Réal Fradette, journalist for l’Acadie Nouvelle newspaper in Caraquet, NB.

I would like to have information about the priest Louis de Gonzague Daigle. The City of Tracadie would be change the name of a street Louis G. Daigle because some victims are upset to see a criminal priest on this sign.

  14. Sean says:

Father Harry Brydon. Found guilty in 2015. From Chatham Ontario, Canada.

  15. Mike Fitzgerald says:

Sean – was he not an Anglican priest? Mike.

  16. Sylvia says:

Sean, Mike F is correct. Father Harry Brydon was an Anglican priest. Here is an external link to a 2014 article. He was eventually (2016) sentenced to 12 months house arrest for sexually abusing several young boys.

    • Anon1234 says:

He prayed mostly on the boys from the 1985 confirmation class at St Paul’s in Chatham. Once the issue was raised he was moved to Harrow I believe… Would be nice to see Anglican ministers and their supervisors who hid them added to the list

  17. bc says:

Church Militant has just posted audio of convicted Father Robert Deland of the Diocese of Saginaw Michigan grooming in 2018 a troubled 17 year old male victim he was counselling. The victim was wearing a wire under police supervision. In this matter, despite it`s many representations the Diocese stonewalled investigators. Father Deland did not contest the charges and is now serving his sentence.

    source here:

  18. bc says:

AP finds that 1700 of 2000 credibly accused priests are living without much supervision; free to abuse vulnerable persons :

  19. bc says:

    Richard Brassard

Chair of the Northeastern Catholic District School board (northern Ontario) has been charged by the OPP with accessing child pornography contrary to section 163.1(4.1) of the Criminal Code.

  20. bc says:

    Salesian Rev. Luk Delft
Vatican’s Caritas Internationalis (i.e. Charity International) which has new improved & updated policies to keep all safe since 2018, assigned convicted clerical pervert in 2017 as Director of Central African Republic mission.
    WAPO story here:

But don’t worry: the Vatican has initiated a canonical cover-up; and it has sent three squadrons of guardian angel in the area to protect the vulnerable children.

    • bc says:

CNN tracked, found and interviewed Salesian Father Luk Delft in Central Africa and it talked to one of his victims too. The young man is very brave but Father Delft ain`t exactly your heroic missionary type of fellow: more like total coward looser pervert with a licence (in Latin) to abuse from the Roman Catholic Church. Vatican charity that hired the convicted clerical pervert doesn`t want to be accountable (it can hardly be blamed as there is no way to know who`s a clerical pervert and who`s not) and blames the Salesians (who knew about their beloved Salesian pervert brother).
Good Vatican official says Holy See has no oversight of bad bad religious orders…

  21. bc says:

That`s the number of U.S. Catholic clergy that have been deemed credibly accused of sexual abuse or misconduct according to Propublica’s new searchable database.
