It won’t work

Perry Dunlop is a political prisoner. He has spent 185 days in jail – for stepping up to the plate to protect children, and then daring to say he has lost faith in the justice system. This is the institutional response to allegations of childhood sexual abuse.

Roger Robertson, the little man with the big heart, has had a rest.  He resumes his Freedom Ride this morning. Wife Patti Newport will ride with him.

The pair will hit the Queensway (417) on Roger’s pearl-white Harley (“Patti Pearl”) around 8:30 this morning.  They are due at the Harley Davidson of Ottawa dealer on Industrial at 10 am for a press conference.

After the press conference Roger will have some work done on his bike.  Then it’s off to the Tim Horton’s in East Cornwall.

I believe they will arrive at Timmy’s between 2 pm and 3 pm.

I’ve heard that some bikers may join Roger at the Harley dealership to ride him into Cornwall.

I’ve also heard that some Cornwallites plan to head up the 138 to meet Roger around Monkland and escort him into the city.  I think he should be passing through Monkland between 1 pm and 2 pm.

Watch for the little man with the big heart on his Freedom Ride.  If you spot Roger and Patti, give them a honk and a wave.  If you see them at a Tim Hortons, give them a thumbs up, and, yes, slip them a few dollars to help defray costs. If you’re a biker and want to ride with him, he’d love the company.

I unfortunately won’t be able to see Roger pull into Cornwall.  I would dearly love to be there, but had previous commitments.More on Roger tomorrow evening or Thursday morning.  Lots more.  Believe me, there’s lots to tell.  A most fascinating man this little man with the great big heart.

Perry is NOT at “the Don” (Toronto’s Don Valley Jail).  He’s at the Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay Ontario.

Why?  Why Lindsay?

Who knows?

Pressure tactics?

Eleventh hour coercion?

Desperation?

For how long in Lindsay?

Who knows?

Helen, God love her, has been trying to find out what the heck is going on and why the move two weeks ahead of Perry’s 03 September court date in Toronto.

When she called the Don there was no doubt Perry was due at the Don.

When Perry was carted off yesterday morning he was told he was going to the Don.  Then when the busload or vanload of inmates pulled up at the Central East Detention Centre in Lindsay Perry asked if he could use the bathroom during the stop. He was told he was staying there.  And that was that.  And there he is.  In Lindsay.

Roger knows the system from the inside 🙂  He says he thinks they have Perry on, I think he called it the ghost run – a few days in this jail, a few in that, a few in the other one.

That would make sense wouldn’t it?  Keep Perry on the move so no one can quite know where he is – visitors can’t catch up to him, and mail can’t catch up to him, and no newspaper delivery because we don’t know and can’t find out where the papers should go.  Cut him off from family and friends as much as “they” can.  Keep him on the move to try to break him and force him into the Weave Shed to testify at an inquiry in which he has not an iota of faith.

It won’t work.  It will not work.  Perry will not betray his conscience.  They should know that by now.

But, seems that here in the Gulag anything is worth a noble effort isn’t it?  When it comes to Perry, there are no holds barred.  His has been stripped of his Charter Rights at every turn.  By “the system.”  He is a political prisoner.

The irony.  Perry has served his six months.  He’s doing overtime now.  And look at the strong arm tactics in play.

Who dreamed this coercive tactic up?  Who decided this would be a worthwhile venture?  Who? Whose calling the shots? That’s what I’d really like to know.  Who’s calling the shots?

I have no idea what address to give you to reach Perry.  None.  I suggest the Don Valley address.  Don’t NOT write because of the uncertainty.  Somewhere the mail will catch up to him.  It’s so important that the mail keep going.  He will eventually get it.

And, yes, pray.  Prayers for Roger and Patti.  Prayers for Perry and Helen and the girls.  Lots of prayers.

Must get to bed.  It’s late late late
Enough for now,

Sylvia

So Perry is on the “ghost” ride to isolate him from his friends and keep him off balance unnecessarily on the way to his court appearance. Obviously this is just a means of breaking him to make him look bad and the pedophiles of Cornwall look better by comparison. It is time to free Perry Dunlop.
