The shame is not theirs

I posted a number of articles today and think I had something to say on just about everyone of them.  Check NEW to the site for links to the articles (access manually by clicking on the NEW tab on the black horizontal menu under the picture)

I had other site-related plans for the day so truly thought if I said what I wanted to say as I posted I could move on, but it didn’t happen that way.  The day flew past – a few articles posted, then a little research, then another article, and then on the phone, and then back to getting information posted, and so on.  The hours flew!

Please note that I have added some more information on Father Camille Leger.  He was at St. Theresa’s in Dieppe New Brunswick from 1939 to 1943, and for the first two of those years was also assisting at St. Lawrence O’Toole in Irishtown, NB.

From 1945-1957 he was Pastor at St. Clement in Port Elgin NB.

There is still a gap between 1943 and 1945, and another between 1957 and 1959.  If anyone can fill in the gaps and tell us where Father Camille Leger was serving in those years please post a comment or send the info to me at cornwall@theinquiry.ca

As I said elsewhere, it is impossible not to pull this information together and not suspect that there are victims of Leger everywhere he went. I pray that those who are still alive will find someone in whom to confide to finally rid themselves of the shame they have been carrying for all there years.  The shame is not theirs.  It is Father Camille Leger’s.  And it the shame of all those who knew and did nothing. It is time to put the shame right where it belongs – they have struggled under the burden far far too long.

Enough for now,

Sylvia
