My thoughts and prayers are with all of you this Christmas Eve. I hope that Enya’s hauntingly beautiful version of Silent Night will touch your hearts as much as it has mine.
Merry Christmas to all and may Peace and Love quiet your thoughts and warm your hearts this Christmas.
I wish all of you a Happy New Year filled with promise and hope.
Brenda Brunelle
Merry Christmas to you too Brenda, Sylvia and to All !!!
Thanks for the thoughts and good wishes, Sylvia,et al. I’m really struggling this Christmas. I guess when you think you’ve successfully dealt with something and put it aside for 20 years (repressed it). It can bite back pretty hard. I’m trying to prepare to host my family in our Christmas Eve festivities, but it’s a big struggle and I’m not wanting to pretend too much!
Leona, may all things you do over the Christmas Season be Blessed. May your heart harken back to the age you still believed in Santa, and to where you still trusted people. Let it rest there for a time, knowing that Jesus will be with you during those precious moments. Hope also, that the good memories will soon blot out the bad ones. May God shower His Joy, Peace and Love on your family and household this Chrisymas and beyond.
1abandonedsheep. Thank you for the kind thoughts on Christmas eve. They truly helped.
I feel as though I received the greatest gift of all this Christmas Eve through some heartfelt and long overdue conversations with one of my siblings and a sister-in-law, regarding the impact of Jack McCann’s actions on our family. I believe that working through my feelings through dialogue and conversation on this site, really helped me to be more present in the conversations, and receive the messages they were giving me. I had woken up on December 24th, not even wanting to get out of bed. I went to bed truly thankful for the gifts of the holy spirit working in my life, a true Christmas
miracle.
Thank you to all!
Leona, all Praise anf Thanksgiving belongs to GOD ! May He continue to help you be aware of his healing Grace. I hope you have a BLESSED 2012.
Thank you for sharing that Leona – so wonderful to hear that you experienced a true Christmas miracle. God is good.
Christmas is indeed a time of and for miracles, and the season is not yet over. I truly believe that God hears and answers our prayers in a very special way at Christmas. He is there, waiting and listening.
I remember a little hymn from my childhood as a Protestant:
“What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
“What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
“O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
“All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.”
Wise words. And, at Christmas, I do believe He is all the more anxious to ease the pain and bring peace to our troubled souls. We have but to ask.
