19 November 2018: Six St. Michael’s College School boys, ages 14 and 15 were charged with assault, gang sexual assault and sexual assault with a weapon. Several days later the principal ( layman Greg Reeves) and President (Basilian priest Father Jefferson Thompson) resigned their positions.

CAHILL: Father Frederick Cahill csb
Basilian priest. Ordained 04 July 1951. Father Cahill was a priest and English teacher at Bishop Grandin from 1969 until his death in 1983. He also directed the Search program for youth in the Calgary diocese and was chaplain to the Columbus Boys’ Camp at Waterton Lakes National Park.
Lawsuit launched 2017 alleging abuse by Father Cahill while plaintiff was a student at Calgary Alberta
CAMPBELL: Father Leo Campbell csb
Basilian priest. Ordained 1974. Born in Dominion, Cape Breton Island. Allegations of sex abuse reported in 2008. Father Leo Campbell died shortly afterwards. There have been many men who allege childhood sex abuse at the hands of Father Leo Campbell.
CERRETTO: Father Michael Cerretto csb
American. Studied at St. Michael’s College University, Toronto. Former Principal St. Thomas High School, Houston, Texas. Arrested 1997 for exposing himself at an adult bookstore and movie theatre in Houston, Texas – put on administrative leave from St. Thomas HS after the arrest. Spent time in Toronto afterwards.

LAICIZED. Canadian. Formerly Basilian priest. Ordained 1951. Taught in Basilian schools and served in various communities including: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Sudbury, Ontario; Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; Windsor Ontario. GUILTY pleas 2011 to numerous charges related to sex abuse of young boys and one female. Died 2014.
O’KEEFE: Father Kenneth O’Keefe csb
Canadian. Basilian priest. Ordained 1958. August 2010 charged. GUILTY pleas 2012 and 2013. No jail time. Living in Toronto
WHYTE: Father Robert Whyte csb
Canadian. Basilian priest. Ordained 1947. Sent for “treatment” in 1977 then back teaching. 1990 GUILTY plea to indecently assaulting young boys over 20 year period. Died 2014.
