The organist at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Gananoque has been charged with sexual assaulting a male from 1977 to 1983. 65 year old Brian Joseph Lucy appeared in court earlier this month on a charge of indecent assault and gross indecency. His next court appearance is October 25th. Lucy resigned as the church organist after he was charged by Gananoque Police.
Hi. My family and I lived in Gananoque Ont. we lived on Victoria St. I was born in 1969, I would’ve be 4or5 years old when I went to a playground on our road, the house in which I was abused would have been on the opposite of the street of the playground. I blocked out most of what happened there that day, I only really remember that he wasn’t the only one there, and I was terrified, I remember the person giving me something in my hand, I turned and ran home as fast as my feet could take me. I’m just looking for answers, I can’t explain why, except how can I heal if I don’t why I am the way I am? I may not remember but doesn’t mean it’s not there. Not sure if you can help me but thanks for taking the time.
