A retired ex-priest charged with indecent assault dating back to the 1970s will have his case back in court on September 29th.
A local agent for the lawyers for Father Kenneth O’Keefe asked the matter be adjourned during a brief court appearance.
The 79 year-old O’Keefe did not appear in court, and remains out on bail.
Ottawa Police say an investigation was launched in July when a man complained of “inappropriate” contact back in 1972.
O’Keefe was a teacher at St. Pius X high school.
