“Fr. MacNeil received faculties during the time of Archbishop Gervais’ ministry. Therefore, the faculties were in place when Archbishop Prendergast arrived in 2007. When our present Archbishop [Prendergast] learned of Fr. MacNeil’s history, he instructed that his faculties be revoked.” )

Father Ed MacNeil, a convicted molester, has been saying Mass for the past eight years and ministering to native peoples. He has done so with the consent and approval of Ottawa’s Archbishop Terrence Prendergast SJ. (see above) Prendergast is one of the bishops chosen by the Vatican to examine the sex abuse scandals in Ireland
On the front page of the Kateri Bulletin October 2010 Father Ed MacNeil is listed a “Sacramental Minister” for the Kateri Native Ministry of Ottawa. Administrative Asst. is Daryold Corbiere Winkler. That is Father Daroyld Corbiere Winkler csb, a Basilian priest, ordained 1997, currently pursuing his doctorate at Ottawa’s Saint Paul University.
21-23 May 2010: Healing and reconciliation Conference 2010 Father Ed MacNeil omi was there as a priest (see picture below) Note that there were young people in attendance: “Blake Kwatiash represented the Native youth of Thunder Bay”
