Father Bernard Buckle
Father Bernard Buckle passed away peacefully on January 21, 2015 at the Health Sciences Complex in St. John’s. Father Buckle, born in Corner Brook, NL, on April 4, 1933, was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of St. George’s in 1961. Having served the diocese for 50 years, he retired from parish ministry in 2011.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 25, at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer in Corner Brook from 7:00 – 9:00 pm (Prayer Vigil at 8:00 pm)
The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 26, at the Cathedral at 10:30 am with the Most Reverend Peter Hundt, Bishop of the Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador, as the chief celebrant.
May his soul and the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen.
