If anyone has any information they wish to share regarding this Priest, I would love to hear from you as I am the Young Boy who was abused by this Man of the Cloth. The Church has been very good at erasing, deleting any information on this Priest. A site called Chapleau Geneology is an interesting read as there are a few comments about this Priest. It is however a closed Group however I believe comments can be viewed ONLY unless you are invited to the Group.

  2. Patricia (Maurin) says:

My brother Peter who passed away January/2013 informed me by phone that he had been abused by a catholic priest in Geraldton On. He passed away about a week after telling me. My mother had told me about this many years prior to Peter telling me. I was frozen when he mentioned this. It happened in the 1960’s. He had gone there to help him build something—carry lumber, etc. His life was ruined after this. Patricia

Patricia, First let me thank you personally for your response. I am so sorry that your Brother was not able to come forward and disclose this beast prior to his death. I myself did not come forward until my late 40’s and let me tell you it has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my Life. I am now 61 years old and have been waiting many years for my opportunity. My date is set for June 15th, 2017 with the RC Church and I will be so relieved when all is over. I am not going to say “closure” because there is no such thing as closure. The word “closure” has been used far to often these days, a way of dismissing the horrible acts to children and all in the name of God. How I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet your Brother in person and tell him that he did not nothing wrong. The Beast, the only word for Father Lampron took advantage of his Priestly Status to abuse young children. I always knew that I was not the only one. I am however up until now the only person to come forward and expose him for what he was. If you ever want to share with me directly on this subject, please ask Sylvia and she will give you my personal information on how to reach me. In fact, here is my e-mail:[xxxx]. Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your Family. It is my hope that others will come forward in the future. I no longer feel like that lone Island in the middle of the Ocean. I thank you very much for sharing with me. I apologize for the delay in responding to you, but I have not been on Sylvia’s site for a while now.

I deleted your email address Michel. If I were to leave it I fear you would be inundated with spam. I will be happy to send your email to Patricia if she asks for it.

    Patricia,
As I prepare for my case to be heard, tomorrow Thursday, June 15, 2017, please know that your Brother Peter, will be with me in Spirit and Soul. I am doing this for myself and all survivors/victims who may have found it too difficult to come forward. I will confront this Beast, this Servant of God and hope that the strength I show today will somehow reach any other survivor/victim. It is OK to be afraid, it is all part of the process. Thank you all for your Support throughout the past few years. This site has been an inspiration and I thank Sylvia from the very bottom of my heart. God is with me on this, I can feel his Grace upon Me. Thank You !

  6. Rachel says:

    Hello Michel,

I am somewhat related to this man (he falls somewhere within my Grandma’s family – I can’t remember exactly right now). Please reply if you can. I am curious as to how your trial went and perhaps I can help you find out further information. I only found out about this fairly recently.

    Thank you,
    Rachel

  7. Michel says:

Rachel, after many years of dealing with the Catholic Church, the Diocese of Hearst, a very arrogant Bishop, I can say that my case is now over. Rachel, the Church and my Lawyer went to Mediation in October 2017. I could no longer Physically and Emotionally endure the pain I was put through as a Survivor of this horrible Angry and Sick Individual, Father Lampron. Unfortunately he was a sick Man like many other Priest who chose to hind behind the Cloth. I am sure that he had his demons and forgive him for whatever made him abuse. My three older Brothers were alter boys for Father Lampron and they quit being alter boys shortly after he arrived in Chapleau. My Brothers don’t really talk about it other than they were terrified by Father Lampron. I am 61 yrs of Age and finally at Peace. I thank God that I never went through with suicide though I did on 2 occasions seriously consider the option. My Faith in God, my Family and Friends were a tremendous help along the way as well as my Partner of 31 years. I don’t know what I can tell you about him that you may want to know except that he grew up in Quebec, he wanted to be a Physician, he came from a Family of 10 children and they were poor. He eventually went into the Priesthood and was sent to Northern Ontario to Priest. I have his complete background from the legal file notes and can try and answer whatever questions you may have. Have a great Day.
