Former Roman Catholic priest Donald Grecco remains behind bars as a result of a Wednesday court appearance in Picton.
Spokesman Brendan Crawley in an e-mail said Grecco’s matter has been put over to Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m. in Picton court. Grecco is charged with breaching a condition of his release while awaiting sentencing for crimes committed against altar boys in the 1970s and 1980s
In March, the St. Catharines man pleaded guilty to three counts of gross indecency related to incidents in Welland and Cayuga. Grecco is scheduled to be sentenced for those crimes Friday in Hamilton at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton. Grecco’s sentencing for those crimes has been delayed twice because of health issues.

Grecco bail hearing put over again
The matter has now been put over until November 3rd.
Grecco was busted for breaching his conditions earlier this month but because no one is willing to vouch for him should he be released on bail, his hearing continues to be put over.
Grecco is expected to be in a Hamilton court on Friday where he will be sentenced for sexually assaulting some altar boys back in the 70’s and 80’s.
