Comments to come, specifically because the latter relates to New York Archdiocese’s Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program, and the former relates to Help Line and the reconciliation and compensation process set up to deal with victims of the Christian-Brothers -operated schools in Alfred, Uxbridge and St Joseph’s Training Schools in Ontario.  The group agreed to pursue settlements via mediation rather than via legal options.

A lot of information regarding the Help Line process was once posted on The Inquiry website, however, and unfortunately, that information has not at this time been re-posted.  I now need to search my files to find and post enough to give you an idea of the process.  I think it may well have been the first of its kind.. Hopefully I will be able to pick away at that tomorrow.

Enough for now,

Sylvia
