These are lovely. What a beautiful world God gave us, so many distinct landscapes and features, all of it unique and interesting. It looks a peaceful place. Thank you for sharing them.

One of the most beautiful descriptions I heard of the splendor of nature was during an eulogy at a United Church funeral service in Sturgeon Falls Ont. in 1999. The deceased had not been interested in organised religion. He had been a legendary outdoorsman and spent as much time in the bush as he could. I’ve remembered that the minister (who was a married woman and a mother) delivering his eulogy didn’t make a big fuss about him not being a practicing Christian because – God was there also in the grand cathedral/forest of his creation among the various congregations of humble creatures who inhabit it. – she said slowly. His friends who had gathered at his funeral were heading off to go fishing after the service.

If the RCC had been so wise to catch the big ones and carefully release the small ones it’s nets would be heavy and it’s waters would not be filled with tears of sorrow.
