The comments re Father Bernard (Bernie) Cameron are coming 🙂   Please note that the following was posted on the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall website:

Death of Father Bernard Cameron (Alexandria-Cornwall Diocese)

Note that studies have been under way for months regarding a possible merger between the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall and the Archdiocese of Ottawa:

March 2017:  Should the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall merge with the  Archdiocese of Ottawa?

October 2017:  Alexandria-Cornwall Diocese to merge with Ottawa Archdiocese?

It seems that most Catholics in the diocese are opposed to the merger, but strangely  seem happy with the the idea of having an auxiliary bishop from Ottawa resident in the Cornwall area.  Whatever happens, I do believe that the days of “the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall” are coming to end.

Enough for now,

Sylvia
