Father Robet Couture is being sentenced this afternoon (Monday):

Monday, 03 October 2016:  2 pm, sentencing,Windsor Superior Court of Justice (245 Windsor Avenue), Windsor, Ontario

Father Couture, a priest with the Diocese of London, Ontario,  was charged April 2013 with theft over $5,000, and was found guilty December 2015 after a trial by jury .   Couture stole between $170,000 and $234,000 from Ste. Anne Parish in Tecumseh for his own personal use.

Defence lawyer asked that Couture be spared jail time.  Assistant Crown attorney Tom Meehan asked for a ajil term of 15 months and two years probation.

If anyone hears news of the outcome please pass it along.

Please pray for all those whose faith has been damaged by the selfish and criminal actions of this priest.

Father Jacques Faucher  will be sentenced tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2 pm

Tuesday, 04 October: 2 pm 10 am sentencing, Ottawa Ontario courthouse (161 Elgin St.

I believe the hearings will again be conducted in French.  I encourage those who can do so to attend, particularly those of you who are fortunate enough to be bilingual

Faucher, a priest with the Archdiocese of Ottawa, Ontario was charged February 2013 and convicted March 2016 on six counts of indecent assault.  The charges date to the 1970s.

At the time of conviction the Ottawa Archdiocese announced  that Faucher’s suspension from ministry and prohibition from representing himself as a priest would continue “indefinitely.”

Not good enough!  This wolf in sheep’s clothing must be defrocked.  He is unfit to be a priest. It matters no whether he is in ‘in ministry’ or not, he is unfit to be a priest.

I commend the victims for their courage in coming forward.  Please keep them in your prayers.

As most of you know from my previous blog, Father Robyn Quinton Gwyn, a priest with the Archdiocese of Kingston Ontario, was found guilty by Superior Court Justice Wolfram Tausendfreund 29 September 2016.

I have been watching and waiting for coverage in the Kingston Whig Standard, and here it is, a great recap by Sue Yanagisawa:

03 October 2016:  Retired priest convicted of sexual assault

As always, please keep the victim in your prayers.

Some of you may have missed this article regarding clerical molester Father Ronald Leger, Viatorian priest and  former student and teacher at the  Cornwall Ontario Classical College

29 September 2016:  Former Winnipeg priest convicted of sex abuse of boys granted day parole

Unbelievable, is it not?  As I commented elsewhere, he  got a paltry two years for sexually abusing three boys, and after serving a mere seven or eight months had the audacity to ask for full parole!!!   This wolf in sheep’s clothing –  who has destroyed how many lives? – really does not think he deserves to be in jail!

Bad enough.  The parole board denied him full parole, but turned around and  granted him day parole!!!!

The predatory priest believes he’s above spending two years in jail for raping the souls of innocent and trusting children.  Ditto the parole board.  The fact that he’s not out on full parole is really irrelevant:  he’s out and about every day!

Please keep the victims in your prayers.  This must be very hard for them to understand and stomach.

Enough for now,

Please note: I have been advised that the sentencing for Father Jacques Faucher is scheduled to start at 10 am tomorrow morning, NOT 2pm. 10 am.

I was reading the Perry Dunlop articles and my question here is-if Perry Dunlop had a hit on himself and his family then does that mean the maffia found its way into the catholic church there in Cornwall and that this could lead to links inside the Ontario Government and Judicial System ? Has anyone asked this question because a hit on a person doesnt result just because a police officer exposed child molestation which would be what all law enforcement officers would want to do so the only reason Perry Dunlop would have a hit on hinself and family could lead directly to dirty people there in Cornwall, in the police dept. and in the Ontario Government? So where is true justice and all canadians need to wake up and ask these questions because we are all endangered by criminals in our midst.

serious questions unanswered – beware of the power and control of these “people”! Apart from the wealthy lawyers and judges, it also unfortunately may include the church.
I have been noticing lately the very sudden deaths of a number of priests, and various accused who very suddenly “die” hours or a few days before they are due to testify in criminal court.
I hope it is just a coincidence, but……………………………….. Mike.

  4. JF says:

Creepy coincidence….quite interesting……Yes I think the church is neck deep into this conspiracy to cover up . What lengths they take one can only imagine.. thanks Mike for your observation. Is the maffia deep inside the Catholic Church? The fact they let maffia into Church without changing their ways makes them look bad. God does not condone organized crime activities. In fact in the bible it states that one can only serve God if he conforms to Gods standards and organized crime activities certainly does not bring about Gods favor. If there was more public outcry to the sins of the fathers who have been charged with assaulting children just like the big fuss has been made about an obvious drunk who threw a beer can onto the toronto blue jays field last night then maybe these priests would be held accountable by the courts in a more serious way. Shame on the fuss made while these priests silently get light sentences for crimes against innocent children and covered up by a shady church.

JF – really interesting comparison with the beer can caper. Isn’t it so true? With all the absolutely horrible happenings in our world ( including the church problem) our social and news media fixate on a stupid beer can!
As you can see, I have been somewhat suspicious of these church activities lately. When money and power over the masses takes over, corruption naturally follows. We need only to study the fall of the Roman empire to see history repeating itself.
    Take Care! Mike.
