It seems that Father Linus Bastien‘s bid to avoid trial for health reasons or whatever have failed. His next court date is:
Monday 14 March 2016: 10 am, “to set a date,” Windsor Superior Court of Justice (245 Windsor Avenue)
The first of the charges were laid away back in October 2011. By early January 2012 there were a total of 22 charges and seven complainants. Further charges were added November 2012.
I’m not sure how many charges and how many complainants there are at this time, I do know that a trial date was originally set for March if this year, and that suddenly Bastien was fighting tooth and nail to avoid trial.
As it now stands, there is a court-date “to set a date,” which probably means to set a new date for trial. If indeed that is the case the new trial date will probably be a few months downstream – the courtroom has to be booked with dates which marry with the calendars of the Crown, judge and defence. Such a shame that the trial was bumped. Father Bastien is foot-loose-and-fancy-free so he probably doesn’t mind a bit, but this is so terrible hard on the complainants and their families.
Please, as always, keep the complainants and their families in your prayers.

Most of today spent copying files from Microsoft Outlook on my old computer to the new. I remember all to fondly the days when the ‘live transfer’ took care of all of that . It was a breeze. Those days are gone 🙁 Each folder had to be exported individually and then imported on the new computer individually. Time consuming! I hunted and hunted in vain to find a way to transfer them en masse. Anyway, this should be wrapped up by day’s end, and then I can shut down the old Outlook on the old computer with great glee! I believe I told you that my old Outlook was smitten after an update which caused emails on many computer to multiply. You would not believe what’s happening. The mails are multiplying like rabbits! This only affects those using POP3 servers, and there is no fix anticipated until around the end of March! Fortunately my new Outlook was set up using IMAP. So, as soon as all folders are transferred and everything looks like it is running as it should I will uninstall Outlook from the old computer and bring a merciful end to this end nonsense.
One final note here, so far, I’m not minding Windows 10 at all. I still have to hunt around for files and folders, but it’s really not too bad at all. So far so good 🙂
Enough for now,
Sylvia
I wished I had the time to have helped you with your computer Sylvia. I believe in you, and what you can do. Just make sure you use the external drive for all your important files. I’ll see you sometime this spring God willing.
Thanks Miecul. Your assistance in the past will never forgotten, and so deeply appreciated.
Yes, I sure will use that external file. It was a godsend to me this time around 🙂
