Verdict date set

An alert to those of you who have Microsoft Office for email.  An update a few days was  buggy and has caused problems for some users.  I, alas,  am one 🙁

I noticed yesterday that I was getting duplicates of all emails so set about clean up.  Then I was suddenly deluged with four copies of each email, even those which I had cleaned up.  And then more.  In desperation today I googled the problem and only then did I discover that it was caused by the update and that my efforts to delete the multitude of duplicates was exacerbating the problem.  I will now set to doing what I can to fix things until Microsoft fixes things on its end.

Here is a link for those who may be experiencing the same problem.

The trial for Father Linus Bastien is presumably set for 14 March 2016.  Unfortunately the lady who keeps the court records up to date is away until 07 March and the records are therefore not up to date and will not be up to date until her return.  I was not able to find out if there is another court date before 14 March.

Also, note that the 14 March trial date is one week later than the date I was given some time ago.

Sorry I can give no more info than this.  I will call the courthouse on 07 March.

Please keep the complainants in your prayers.

The verdict in the Father Jacques Faucher sex abuse trial will be rendered at the end of March:

30 March 2016: 09:30 am, VERDICT, Ottawa Ontario courthouse (161 Elgin St.)

Please keep the victims in your prayers.

An update on the case of fugitive and former SMIS teacher “Mr. Wonder”/Frank Selas:

25 February 2016:  “‘Mr. Wonder’ indicted on sex-related charges in Rapides” & related article

When and where and why, I wonder,  did he become a Mormon?

Note that this man was constantly around children.  We saw that 40 years ago when he was in Japan and teaching at Saint Mary’s International School.  I cringe!!

Enough for now,

Sylvia

  1. Tom says:

I know this is silly, but do you have a sump pump? If so your inlet may be choked with iron ochre. Flush out with garden hose! We had the same problem two years ago.
    Best of luck, Tom

  2. Syliva says:

Yes, thank you Tom, we do have a sump pump.
Actually, that makes sense. Our water is very hard, and high iron content.

We rent, so I will pass that tip on to our landlord. Thank you!
