Father Robyn Gwynn had a court date in Assignment Court in Kingston, Ontario this morning.

Has anyone heard or seen any news of the outcome?

Gwynn, a priest with the Archdiocese of Kingston, Ontario, is now facing at least 12 charges with allegations dating between the 1980s and 2000.   The priest retired suddenly in May  20014 and has since been on what was described as “an indefinite leave of absence.”  For most if not all of the intervening years Father Gwynn has been living in the area of Berwick, Nova Scotia.

I will check on Monday to find out when his next court date is.

Please keep the complainants in your prayers.

Nathan Labatt‘s recent ccourt date was adjounred – yet again! – to 14 September 2015.

24 August 2015:  Labatt Case Adjourned for Two More Weeks

The former youth volunteer with the Archdiocese of Regina, Saskatchewan Youth Ministry, volunteer with the Ukrainian Catholic Church, and former Boy Scout leader was charged 14 January 2015 with sexual exploitation,  invitation to sexual touching, and possession of child pornography.

Please keep the complainants in your prayers.  This has been nothing but one adjournment after the other after the other for months on end.

Jozef Wesolowski, the former Nuncio to the Dominican Republic and now defrocked priest,  is dead:

28 August 2015:  Vatican says ex-envoy, charged with sexual abuse, has died

According to the article, the Polish-born Weslowski, who has been under ‘modified house arrest,’  was found dead in front of his TV set at 5 am. He was defrocked June 2014.

Weslowski was ‘recalled to Rome’ in 2013 after reports began to circulate that he had sexually abused ‘young men.’

How terribly unfortunate that he did not see fit to return to the Dominicaqn Republic to face his accusers.  He died denying the allegations and charges.

He has now gone to meet his Maker.

Please keep his victims in your prayers

Enough for now,

Sylvia
