A busy couple of days.
The name of Father James Roth OSFS has been added to the Accused list. The page isn’t finished yet but it’s close.
As you will see, Father Roth was an American and member of an order known as the Oblates of St. Francis De Sales (OSFS)
Father Roth arrived in the Archdiocese of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2004. He returned to the States early 2015 – I’m not certain exactly when but it was probably January 2015, after an American victim came forward to report frequent sexual abuse at the hands of Father Roth 14 years ago. Roth, who was at that time working with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board, was suspended.
Father Roth died 11 February 2015 under questionable circumstances. He left a note admitting that he had sexually abused the boy.
