I just got the information today so a belated notice on Father Linus Bastien ‘s courtdate for tomorrow:
09 January 2015: 09:30 am, “to set a date,” Windsor Superior Court of Justice (245 Windsor Avenue)
This MAY be the setting of a trial date. If anyone is free to attend to find out please do so and let us know the outcome. Otherwise I will find out next week. (Father Linus Bastien is a priest with the Diocese of London, Ontario)

I see no media coverage as yet on today’s scheduled preliminary hearing for Father Yvon Arsenault in Moncton, New Brunswick (Archdiocese of Moncton, New Brunswick). If anyone sees anything in the news please send it along.

Here are updates on two other cases before the courts:
(1) Brian Lucy (Archdiocese of Kingston, Ontario)
There are two dates for Lucy, one open to the public and one not. The first date is a judicial pre-trial. This is held in chambers and is NOT open to the public
11 March 2015: Judicial pre-trial – in chambers (NOT open to the public) , 1 pm, Brockville, Ontario courthouse, ;
The next date, also in March, is in Assignment Court and IS open to the public:
30 March 2015: 10 am, Assignment court, Brockville, Ontario courthouse, (41 Court House Square) (OPEN to public)

My eye is fine. It is still giving me trouble but there is nothing earth shattering wrong: it’s just a real nuisance. I had a vitreous detachment and a vitreous hemorrhage in the left eye shortly before Christmas. The former is not at all uncommon. The latter left me with multitude of “floaters,” and things that looked like cobwebs and quite a visual display of these countless dots dancing and twisting in front of that eye. The issue of concern was that my symptoms were consistent with those of a retinal detachment, but there was no sign of a retinal detachment, so I was to ‘keep an eye out’ for signs of change which could signal a retinal detachment and then get into a hospital immediately. It hasn’t happened, so I am to continue to keep an eye out for change 🙂 Oh joy! But, thankfully, all is well
Now I can carry on …..
