There are two court dates tomorrow, Monday 24 February 2014:
(1) Ex pr1est Gabriel Del Bianco
Tomorrow the verdict will be rendered. It’s nearly three long long years since the first criminal charges were laid. It’s taken a while. Tomorrow is the verdict.
24 February 2013: Verdict to be rendered, Sarnia Ontario courthouse (700 Christina St N, Sarnia)
My prayer is that those four women who courageously came forward will see justice done int he rendering of the verdict.
Please, everyone, keep these four complainants in your prayers this evening and tomorrow.
I encourage all those who are within driving distance of the Sarnia courthouse to attend. As always, I ask that those who do attend to please post a comment or a link to media coverage with the verdict. I have to be out tomorrow morning – won’t be home until early afternoon. I am relying on you to pass on the word. So many of us have been following these charges since they were first laid. We are all anxious to hear the outcome.
I don’t have the start time but believe it will probably be 09:30 or 10 am. If you go for 09:30 you will not be late 🙂
(2) Father Yvon Arsenault
Father Yvon Arsenault is scheduled to appear in the Moncton courthouse tomorrow morning (Monday, 24 February 2014)
Arsenault, facing charges of sexual interference, gross indecency and sexual assault, did not appear 27 January to enter a plea and to elect trial by judge, or trial by judge and jury. The case was adjourned until tomorrow.
24 February 2014: Moncton courthouse, Moncton, New Brunswick
Again, I do not have the start time. If can post it please do. It will be in remand court so will probably be scheduled for the earliest start time in the courthouse. I am not familiar enough with the Moncton courthouse to know. Is it 08:30 am? or 09:00 am?
If you are free and planning to attend I suggest to be there for 08:30 to be sure. Take a newspaper or book – if you’re early you can pas the time reading.
As always, please keep the complainants in your prayers, and please pass on news of the outcome, either by posting a comment or a link.

Mark your calendars. There are several courtdates this week:
(1) Father John E. Sullivan
Father Sullivan has a court date Tuesday, 25 February 2014.
25 February 2014: 09:30 am, courtroom #101 “to be spoken to,” North Bay, Ontario court house (360 Plouffe Street)
Will something of substance finally happen? or, is it the revolving door again?
Yet again I encourage anyone who can do so to attend to try to keep us abreast of what is happening with these charges.
And, yes, please keep the complainant in your prayers.
(2) Father Robert Couture
Father Couture has a courtdate Wednesday 26 February 2014
26 February 2014: 09:30 am, courtroom #10, “for hearing,” Windsor, Ontario courthouse
I ma hoping someone from the Windsor area is free to attend to find out what is happening with these charges.
(3) Father Linus Bastien
27 February 2014-06 March 2014: 10 am, for preliminary hearing, Windsor Ontario court house (Ontario Court of Justice – 200 – Chatham St. E.)
Please note that a preliminary hearing is open to the public, but there will be a publication ban on all evidence and testimony. It is still very important to be there to support the complainants and their families. A preliminary hearing is like a mini trial.
Enough for now,
Sylvia
PS. I received several new pictures of Brother John/Paul-Emile/Paul Paradis fic. Some are suitable for posting – will do so this evening or tomorrow.
I also have a picture of victim which I will scan and post on “The Children” page.
PPS: I just received word that next Thursday evening (27 February) at 09:00PM, Radio-Canada’s flagship TV investigative journalism program Enquête (i.e Inquiry) will air a
story about sexual abuse in female religious congregations in Québec. The program will be re-broadcasted Saturday March 1st at 01:PM and on RDI Sunday at 6PM and the following Monday at 2PM
