I will be posting some more Victim Impact Statements from the Father Daniel Miller sentencing hearing this past Tuesday (17 September 2013).  I haven’t received them yet, but, just so you know, in due course they will be posted.

And yes, I am still plugging through my notes from Tuesday to put together an account of the day’s happenings.    Those who have followed Sylvia’s Site for a while know that it always takes me time to do something like this .  I invariably think I will have it together in a flash, and in short order realize that it will take time.  Bear with me.  I want so much to let you know what happened in there and must spend the time necessary to get it all in order.

Enough for now,

Sylvia

Thank-you for spending so much time on these matters for all of our benefit. I, as most know, that you spend a great deal of time thinking about how to present this information so it will actually truly represent the feeling and emotion in that courtroom.
I personally am really looking forward to hearing the series of events, because I am still in shock over the way Carew and the system apparently humiliated and degraded this family of victims even further. Mike.

With regards to Mr. Carew, the judiciary, Fr. Dan Miller, the diocese of Pembroke: Welcome to Christianity, ROMAN CATHOLIC STYLE.
I wonder in cynical moments when the church is going to start up their old practise of burning heretics at the stake, or perhaps even feeding us detractors to the lions for their amusement. Mike.

Sylvia, it must be somewhat emotionally draining being in that courtroom seeing and listening at what was said and what was going on. Of course, you need time to put those thoughts down here. That is very understandable.

Those poor victims of Fr. Dan Miller in court. I can’t imagine the battle of exhaustion they face daily that is way different than so many of us deal with.

    These victims/survivors are very courageous.

As for the OTHER VICTIMS of other bad and evil priests my thoughts and good wishes are with you.
