Another Canadian priest charged.
Father Mark Sullivan, a priest with the Diocese of Hamilton, has been charged following an assault investigation which commenced 13 April 2012. Father Sullivan had been serving as Pastor at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church in Brantford, Ontario.
I will put together what information I can find on Father Mark Sullivan and add his name to the Accused list.
The following is the statement which appeared today on the Brantford Police Service website regarding the charges:

A Brantford Pastor has been charged following an assault investigation
On April 13th, 2012, the Brantford Police received a complaint of an assault against a young girl. It is alleged that the assault took place sometime between September 2011, and October 2011, at St. Basils Church, Brantford. The young victim alleged that the accused grabbed hold of her arm, pinned her down in a chair and prevented her from leaving. The victim was not injured.
Mark .L. SULLIVAN, 49, yrs, of Palace Street has been charged with Assault. SULLIVAN was released and will appear in court on June 29, 2012 in Brantford.

I have added a page on Father Mark Sullivan. Unfortunately I don’t have copies of the Canadian Catholic Church Directory for most of 2000 so my information for those is years is limited.
* I find it concening that you seem to have already convicted Father Mark for this alleged crime and he hasn’t even been before a court for that to be determined. Remember who it is that decides guilt because it isn’t you.

I think you may have miss-read what Sylvia stated above.I don’t see where she states that he has been charged, tried, and found guilty.She is only suggesting that interested parties can follow-up on what the police web site has stated.I’m sure when she knows more she will, as she always does, provide non-judgemental but fact based information.Thank you Sylvia.
