Preliminary hearing for Father Jean-Claude Lefebvre starts tomorrow morning in the Elm St., court house, Sudbury, Ontario: 1o am, courtroom “C.” The hearing is booked for two days.
If anyone is free and within driving distance of the courthouse please head down. Those who have been through the court system know how much it means to have support and a few friendly faces in the courtroom.
Please keep the complainants in our prayers.
There will without doubt be a publication ban on evidence/testimony so media coverage will be limited, but there should be media in attendance at the prelim and therefore some limited coverage which does not touch what is said in the courtroom. Please post links to any coverage or send them to me at: cornwall@theinquiry.ca.

On Wednesday Father Charles Picot is supposed to be filing a motion for release pending his appeal of the guilty verdict from 03 May 2011 (the John Derk Lapointe sex abuse). I just checked and there is nothing on the docket. Does anyone know if this motion will be heard somewhere else? According to the court’s website motions are occasionally held elsewhere.

Frank Russell, convicted molester and former teacher at St. Paul’s Elementary School in Lakefield, Ontario, is now working in antiques and collectibles. I have a few articles to that effect to post on his page – will do so tomorrow evening.
Frank Russell is the brother of convicted molester from the Diocese of Peterborough, Ontario, Father William Russell.

A different weekend – for various reasons, unable to get to the computer to work on the site for any length of time so very few articles posted. I have a commitment tomorrow morning into mid afternoon – will get to work on the site again tomorrow evening.
There is one article I tried to post a while ago. This is another of those occasions where, for whatever reason, I have been unable to post an article – I consistently get an error message and just can not get past it. I will need to fiddle around with the posting process a little to see if I can circumvent the problem but do want people to see the article. Here is an external link:
