Yesterday hot hot hot. And oh so humid!
I was out for the day, from the crack of dawn to early evening – said farewell to Lieve who is on her way home to Belgium today. Got home at 8 pm and I absolutely collapsed 🙂 I had great intentions of just catching a few winks and then getting a few things done on the site, but – that was the end of me until I opened my eyes this morning!
The forecast is for yet another hot and humid day. Air conditioning is moaning and groaning and straining to keep on top of it. So am I 🙁 I shudder to think what life is like for those who are still without power after last week’s storm and power outage.
The sentencing hearing for convicted molester Father Charles Picot is 09:30 am this morning, Friday 22 July 2011 in the Campbellton, New Brunswick court house.
Due to circumstances beyond his control, Derek is unable to attend. I hope those in the area who have the ability to do so will make their way to the courthouse.
Please pass on word of the outcome of today’s proceedings. We are waiting. I fear there may be no time behind bars on this one. I hope and pray that such is not the case.
No sooner did I receive word that convicted Canadian priest and liturgist Father Barry Glendinning MIGHT be dead, than this:
I had never heard that Glendinning had been defrocked. I must check. People often think that a priest who is removed from public ministry is defrocked when in fact they are still very much priests. Is that the case here? I’m not sure, but I will check into it and find out for sure. In the process I will see if I can find out if word of his demise is fact or fiction.
And now, back to catch-up 🙂
Enough for now,
