Happy Canada Day everyone! I will be wandering about taking in some of the Canada Day celebrations – always enjoyable. Much as I would love to, I don’t think we will try to fight the crowds to see the Royals (Will & Kate), but still much to see and do in every little city, town and hamlet throughout the country.

There are “thousands” of lawyers in Canada-thousands…..and thousands more who are licensed to practice in Canada and the United States….gee! I have probably had interaction with them all, in one or more of the various litigations I have been party to, in Canada and/or the U.S. (just joking—but maybe not).
I would hope MOST victims or other readers know there are thousands of lawyers that they could research and retain. This website, although very helpful, as I have always professed, also attracts many victims et al, wishing to find that “movie-type, saviour”…I believe the many people who are “wishing” for the saviour, can easily fall trap, to “others” who are also attracted to this “site”, i.e) the, accused, charged, paedophiles, the suspected, their surrogates, their lawyers, their protectors AS WELL as others who wish to “gain” self-recognition, self-advancement and self-enrichment, among other things.
I suggest lawyers continue to advertise in phonebooks, busses and in public washrooms. I suggest people looking for a lawyer contact the Law Society of Upper Canada or other credible Provincial “lawyer referral agency”, for an appropriate contact. “IMHO”, advertising on a website like this is “pathetic” and raises my investigative eye.
When it comes down to it, “this world is NOT as big as some people would like we laymen to think it is.”
What I would like to see is a group of “consumers” who have utilized the Ontario Justice System, meet and discuss their experiences, then organize a “consumer perspective” referral listing……there would probably be no one on it! Oh, by the way, TV-Ontario had a show about three months ago discussing the public and the Ontario Justice System—it was loaded with justice professionals, all in the end, basically patting each other on the back…”we’re doing great!!” I emailed TV-Ontario asking them to do a show, inviting “consumers” to really tell it like it is—NO REPLY!!
