I am nearly ready – dressing and salads are made. Veggies ready to go. Dessert made. Turkey thawing.
I have a monster of turkey this year – the really big fellows were on sale for an unbelievable 99 cents/lb and I just couldn’t resist such a bargain. We love turkey and turkey leftovers too so it seemed the logical thing to do 🙂
This year we have family coming for Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone is in good health. There is much to be thankful for. There have been tough years in the past – I find those tough times help us to appreciate the good years so much more.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims and the families, particularly those who are alone and those who are going through a particularly difficult and stressful time.
Happy Thanksgiving. There is always something to be thankful for. No matter how bad things are, there is always something for which we can each give thanks – the silver linings in the otherwise dark and dreary clouds.
