Perry has now spent 112 days in jail – for stepping up to the plate to protect children, and then daring to say he has lost faith in the justice system. This is the institutional response to allegations of childhood sexual abuse.
IF Perry was convicted paedophile James Lewis he would be out in six days. Lewis – previously convicted (18 month conditional sentence!) for possession of kiddie porn – was sentenced to six months for molesting a 9-year-old boy. He was out and about after serving 118 days!!! Out and about somewhere. Who knows where?
Perry never laid a wayward hand on a child. He tried to protect children.
We all know where Perry is. Perry is behind bars at the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre. For six months. There’s no out and about in 118 days for good behaviour for Perry. That’s for paedophiles like Lewis. Perry will serve every single hour and day of his six months – PLUS he will serve the additional three days he spent from the moment of his arrest to his ‘trial’ at Osgoode Hall, PLUS he will serve the additional two weeks he spent locked behind bars while Justices Ferrier and Swinton pondered his fate.
All up Perry, a whistleblower, will serve six months and seventeen days of his six month sentence.
James Lewis, a convicted paedophile, served 118 days of his six month sentence!!!
Makes me wonder what will happen when Perry finishes this six months plus and goes back to be sentenced for his second conviction. That’s the criminal contempt conviction which morphed out of the civil contempt conviction. The one where Perry was found guilty beyond an inkling of a shadow of a doubt for daring to lose faith in the justice system? The one where the judges concurred with Justice Glaude that by publicly saying he has lost faith in the system Perry brought the administration of justice into disrepute.
Now think of this. Lewis got an 18 month conditional sentence for possession of kiddie porn. Justice Glaude and the Attorney General want Perry behind bars for 15 months for losing faith in the justice system!
Imagine! If Perry were a paedophile with a stash of kiddie porn this could be all over and done with on Sunday. After serving a grand total of 118 days behind bars.
Isn’t something a little wrong with this picture?

I mentioned a few days ago that I wondered if there is air conditioning in Perry’s Home Away From Home. Yes, there is indeed air conditioning in the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre, but, – BUT – listen to this…
Yesterday was a sweltering hot day. It was hot and stuffy in the pod. Inmates asked what was going on: Would it be like that for the whole summer? The word travelled throught he pod that the air conditioning will be set somehwere around 26 Centigrade because that’s what Premier McGuinty said.
I had forgotten. Yes indeed. One year ago almost to the day McGuinty announced a plan to protect the environment. The idea was to cut back on air conditioning use.
According to an 07 June 2007 press release from the Premier’s office a new campaign was being launched in which thermostats in government offices would be set at “approximately” 26 degrees.
This reduces electricity use and cuts carbon dioxide emissions to help fight climate change. ….
If every one of us contributes, together we can have a real impact,” said Premier McGuinty. “Just imagine the change we can effect, working together. We can build a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Ontario for our kids, their kids and the generations still to come.”
“For our kids”?! Molesters are prancing about here there and everywhere, and McGuinty seriously wants inmates to sweat it out 24/7 through the summer months – “for our kids”?
This is craziness. Sheer craziness.
Enough for now,
Sylvia
