Another activity on Monday. Divisional court in Toronto to respond to Justice Glaude’s call to incarcerate Perry,and, in Glaude’s own Sudbury Ontario backyard, a press conference regarding clerical molesters.

– JANUARY 24th, 2008 –
On Monday, January 28th, 2008, commencing at 10:30 am at the Radisson Hotel Sudbury, located at 85 Ste Anne Road , Sudbury , Ontario (705-675-1123) a Press Conference will be hosted by the law firm of Ledroit Beckett Litigation Lawyers. The Conference will announce the commencement of litigation against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, the Roman Catholic Diocese of London and the Congregation of the Resurrection in Ontario, all related to the sexual abuse of minors by clergy.
The litigation names six Roman Catholic priests, half of whom have been criminally charged or convicted in the past. The allegations of sexual misconduct involve the communities of Sudbury , North Bay , Field, Crystal Falls , Powassan, and Tecumseh , Ontario . Many of the involved priests served throughout the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie and some also served within the Dioceses of London and Hamilton.

John Fisher
Laurent Paquette
Gérald Roy (alive)
René Hébert (died last week, service tomorrow)
The purpose of the Press Conference is threefold; (1) to reach out to and empower other victims; (2) to seek the assistance of the public in these particular cases; and (3) to bring public attention to the issue of childhood sexual abuse.

I congradulate and salute Father Tom Doyle for his courageous, letter to the editor.
I can’t believe the Standard-Freeholder printed it. I still urge people to research articles by the “S-F” since in or about 1993, for “bias”.
BUT, I “tip” my hat to Father Doyle…..
