Hearings resume at 1300 hours (1 pm) this afternoon, Monday 29 October 2007.
Charles Bourgeois, former lawyer for Perry Dunlop, is scheduled to return to complete his cross-examination. The spin doctors were hard at it last week and sent Bourgeois on his way on Friday battered, bruised and bleeding.
If he was a dog someone would have intervened and called the legal onslaught cruelty to animals, but Bourgeois is very human and happens to be Perry Dunlops former lawyer. That makes him fair game.
The end justifies the means.
Say a prayer for him.
Dr. Mary Lynn Young, media “expert” will take the stand after Bourgeois. She is scheduled for this afternoon and tomorrow.

A few points:
(1) A reminder to keep an eye on New to the Site on the Home page. I often post new articles on the website without referencing them here on the blog.
(2) Note that the U.S.-based Roman Catholic weekly the Wanderer is keeping a close eye on and keeping its readers apprised of events in Cornwall.
(3) Note also that while we are busy looking for “damn good” lawyers to deal with the issue of paedophiles and their victims there may be one “damn good” judge in Canada.
Hallelujah. A judge who believes the sexual abuse of young children is such a despicable crime that, had we the death penalty, those paedophiles should be “hung high and low.”
Seems to me that’s a good start in addressing the horror of the crime.
Thanks to a reader for sending that article.
(4) Last weeks interrogation of Charles Bourgeois got me thinking about where we’re at,where we’re going and what picture Justice Glaude and the gathered throng are frantically painting of Perry Dunlop. I started jotting down my thoughts and now have a little piece nearly set to post: Perry as portrayed by those who are defending the indefensible.
I see there a couple of media articles to post. Will carry on and get them up.
And don’t forget that it’s a 1 pm start time today.
Enough for now,
Sylvia
