No glory

The morning session ran until 13:10 (1:10 pm). Hearings are scheduled to resume at 14:30 hours (2:30 pm Wednesday 29 August 2007).

Whether or not Father Tom Doyle will take the stand remains to be seen. I don’t know if the diocese has decided to continue its objection that he is biased..

After Father Morrissey, with his multitude of Cornwall connections, that’s a bit of an oxymoron.

Incidentally, I’d say that Father Morrissey didn’t exactly cover himself in glory this morning. His bias toward clerical molesters was scarce veiled.

I plan to get together page on Father Gaetan Deschamps with what background information I have at hand. Those familiar with Cornwall may recall that Richard Hickerson, a former Canada Manpower employee in Cornwall Ontario, was also a former priest. In fact Hickerson served in the Diocese of Prince Albert Saskatchewan. I would gather the pair probably knew each other given that both appear to have served in the diocese in the mid 60s.

Enough for now,

Sylvia
