Key witness about to bow out?

The battle is on to have Ron Leroux excused. Ron is in the Weave Shed this morning, but he and/or his psychologist and/or his lawyer are attempting to have him excused so that he will not be required to return to the witness stand to resume his cross-examination. Ron’s cross-examination was barley off the ground when the commission recessed for summer break.

Justice Glaude ruled this morning that the contentious 30 July 2007 letter from Dr. Nadler to lead commission counsel Peter Engelmann be disclosed to all parties. At this moment (10:50 am) that is being done. I believe several other Nadler letters are also being disclosed. In total there are four:

(1) 19 April 2007 letter from Dr. Wayne Nadler to Peter Engelmann
(2) 27 June 2007 letter from Dr. Wayne Nadler to Peter Engelmann
(3) The 30 July 2007 letter from Dr. Wayne Nadler to Peter Engelmann
(4) 11 August 2007 letter from Dr. Wayne Nadler to Justice Normand Glaude
(5) 12 August 2007 letter from Dr. Wayne Nadler to Justice Normand Glaude

The parties have half an hour – more if required – to peruse the correspondence. They will then return to decide where to go next.

Hearings have just resumed (11:28 am).

Enough for now,

Sylvia
