Can you see where this “public” “independent” and “impartial” inquiry is going?

Progress on the Father John Allan Loftus postings.  Once again I have added to and re-arranged the commentary and linked to two new Loftus-related articles:

(1) a new article from the Catholic Register, and

(2) a 1990 article from Time magazine.

I still have several Loftus-related issues to address and items to post plus must do more work on the commentary. I won’t include but will tell you here that Loftus was quoted in the 27 February 2004 edition of the Boston Globe.  The issue at hand was the discovery that over the past fifty years in the Archdiocese of Boston most of the clerical sexual abuse  “took place between 1965 and 1982, and more than one-third of the archdiocesan priests accused of sexual abuse in that period were ordained between 1960 and 1969” which, according to the article raised “more questions than answers about how and why the abuse peaked in that era.” (The diocese had just released data which showed 216 priests serving in the Archdiocese of Boston  between 1950 and 2003 had been accused of sexually abusing minors.  Of that number 162 were diocesan priests, and 59 of those 162 were ordained between 1960 and 1969)

Loftus, identified as a Jesuit priest at Boston College and former director of Southdown, is quoted as urging caution against drawing conclusions about the peaks in the clerical sexual abuse data:

“I’m not sure anyone will know unless there is more research,” Loftus said. “That kind of research has to start. It could be any of the reasons that come to mind anecdotally: `Hey, it was the ’60s; everybody was going crazy. It was something at St. John’s [a Boston seminary].’

“My fear is that everyone will talk about what they think the cause was without doing the research that’s needed,” he said.

Think about it!  Justice Glaude picked this clerical advocate of homosexuality and disciple of paedophile apologist Dr. John Money to help him ‘frame’ the inquiry, man his Advisory Panel and assist with the huggy-bear-kissy-face sessions.

Can you see where this “public,”  “independent” and “impartial” inquiry is going?

Anyway, perhaps, just perhaps, I will have this wrapped up tonight.  I will let you know as new postings are added so you can digest them as they come.

Enough for now,
Sylvia
