Inquiry hobbles on

The inquiry (read research project) will hobble on today.  Four points before I head off to the hospital:

(1) Hearings at the Weave Shed resume at 2 pm with witnesses from the Upper Canada District School Board taking the stand to give evidence regarding their policies, practices and procedures :).

Those listed as witnesses for the board are:

Mr. T. Rosaire Leger, former Director of Education and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Board of Education

Mr. James Dilamarter, former Director of Education and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Board of Education

Mr. David Thomas, Director of the Upper Canada School Board

(2) Witnesses from the school board will be followed by Bishop Paul-Andre Durocher who is scheduled to take the stand for the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall on Thursday 10 August 2006.

(3) Sometime this week Justice Glaude will respond to or rule on Ken MacLellan’s 26 July 2006 application for standing and funding.

(4)  James Bateman has been contacting the inquiry staff and others raising questions and expressing his opinion on the direction the inquiry is going.  I have posted his 02 August ’06 letter under Pages (Bateman letter to Inquiry – look at the Pages listing on right side of this page).

Bateman’s letter I believe was dispatched shortly after Justice Glaude named the individuals he has chosen to comprise his Advisory Panel. It’s food for thought.

And that’s enough for now,
Sylvia
