A Catholic priest was arrested and charged with solicitation in Fremont County after a prostitution sting in Hamburg.
The Rev. Dominic Yamoah, 40, of Clarinda, was arrested early Saturday, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
Deputies investigating prostitution solicitors arrested Yamoah after he allegedly tried to persuade an undercover source to perform sexual acts for money.
St. Clare Parish in Clarinda and St. Joseph Parish in Villisca list Yamoah as a pastor.
Yamoah is being held on a $2,000 bond at the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the early morning hours of July 9, 2016 Deputies were conducting an investigation into the solicitation of prostitution in Hamburg.
As a result of that investigation Deputies arrested 40 year old Dominic Yamoah of Clarinda, Iowa.
Dominic was arrested after he tried to get an undercover source to perform sexual acts for U.S. currency.
Yamoah was transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center charged with solicitation and is being held on $2000.00 bond.
Deputies were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
I see that, according to other reports which require payment to view, the officer was female.
