One Response to The World: The Shame of the Catholic Church (BBC)

  1. Cyril North says:

I left the priesthood and working for the Vatican 35 years ago, because I was disgusted by the nature of the institutional church, primarily preoccupied with power, control and money, through guilt and intimidation of various kinds, sheltered under layers of obfuscation and verbiage.      They of the Vatican bureaucracy believed that there was no accusation against them that could not be dissolved by their manipulation and abuse of language with well-chosen smooth words.

It is great for me now to see how this church is now being exposed in public for what it really is.

So glad I got out of it all those years ago, for the institutional church  is antithesis of what the Gospel is supposed to stand for.
