Uganda People News: Senior Catholic Priest Arrested Over Defiling A Student

The Jinja catholic diocese finance secretary, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kalinaki has been arrested over alleged defilement.

Father Kalinaki was picked up from Paradise Hotel in Jinja where he was found with a Senior five female student he is suspected to have had sexual affairs. He is being held at Jinja central police station.

Police say a sister to the student tipped them after the priest had entered the lodge. The police add that Kalinaki picked the lady from a school in Kamuli district.

Jinja police OC CID Ivan Bruno Kimalya has confirmed the arrest and detention of Rev. Fr. Kalinaki.

Father Kalinaki has however denied having any carnal knowledge with the student
saying he had just taken her for refreshment as a child he takes care of.
