You are a beautiful woman, inside and out. You are indeed quite the gardener, planting the seeds of the future and you are an inspiration. It brought me to tears to see you standing tall and proud in the clarity of your strong voice.

You carry your name very well as a “proud survivor”!

Thank You for standing up. There are going to be fewer “victims” because of your voice and strength.

Your “spiritual place” is quite safe, within…

  2. Patti Webster says:

Leona, how brave you are to stand up and speak up for others.

I believe you are a “Proud Survivor”

    Thank You

Leona, I am sending you a ton of love and prayers of peace. I was a victim of Mr. Jacobs in Columbus. Thank you for attending this trial. I would be there if I were not on the opposite coast in Maine, USA. And, trying to live a peaceful life with my wife and daughter. I so regret not being brave enough to stand up to this pathetic human 20-some years ago… I await any news of his trial…. My email is [deleted] if you have time to pass along any news.  Thank you once again, may God’s true peace be with you, Patrick

Thanks for your kind words. This is a completely different edit from what I say on their website.

If you can get a hold of it, it was quite well edited as well.  It was a little overwhelming having several microphones in my face.

I do feel like I’ve jumped off a cliff. It’s great to know that their are supportive people who will support me on the journey.

    • Tim Dooling says:

*Leona, Thanks !  You have not jumped off a cliff, but out of a hole J McCan put you in ! Now you see the clear sky, and your pathway to Liberty of Soul and body.
I trut the Holy Spirit will guide you to an even better freedom and life.  Very sincerely, Tim

  5. Leona says:

    *Hi Patrick,

You’re welcome, but I had my own selfish reasons for attending the trial. Each time I listen to the voice that calls me, I confront a different aspect of this issue and reveal more truths to myself. I wish I was able to attend more of the trial, but that it’s a bit of a trek, and a big hit to the pocketbook, (although a BC Ferry ride on a spectacular fall day can’t be beat.)

I know that Jacqueline is attending the trial, (we met afterwards.) I’m trusting she’ll keep us all informed.

I’m sorry you were harmed by Jacobs, and commend you for speaking up as you are now. Remember the voice of the littlest who in the Dr. Suess story. Continue to live your life in peace with your wife and daughter, and let go of any judgement of your actions in the past.

    My thoughts are with you.

    Take care,

Patrick, now that I know Leona has seen your comment I have deleted your email address.  It’s not great to have an email address on the site – spammers and quacks love it, and you can wind up inundated with junk mail. If anyone wants to get in touch with you from here on in I will, with your permission, send your email address to them privately, okay?

I will do my very best to ensure that you and others are kept abreast of what is happening at the Jacobs trial. It is difficult I know to be so far away, and I realize that with the time change it does seem to take forever to find out what happened on any particular day, but, we will find ways to get the news out in as timely a fashion as is humanly possibly.  Right now I, like you and so many others I am sure, am beside myself wondering what happened yesterday afternoon  (Wednesday, 10 October) πŸ™‚

Sit tight Patrick.  You are not alone.  Cherish you wife and daughter.  Keep the complainants in Victoria in your prayers.  Don’t castigate yourself for not speaking up 20 years ago – you are here now, and you are talking.  Be assured that your voice can give strength and comfort to others who are where you were 20 years ago.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you for your example! I am fighting my anger every day (sometimes not successful) and listening and watching your short testimonial has impacted me. Your comment about the beautiful ferry ride is remarkable, and you are so right.
There are such beautiful things around us to experience! I am glad that you can look past your horrible experience at the hands of this “man of God” and realize that everything isn’t jaded by this sick hypocrite.
All the BEST for you!     Mike.

*Thank you again Leona for talking to me and sharing your story. As CHEK News continues to cover this case, any victims of Father Phil who would like to talk to us (and speak anonymously if necessary) can reach us at

    Thank you
