GANANOQUE – A second man has come forward to claim that he was sexually assaulted by a former town church organist during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Brian Joseph Lucy, 67, of Gananoque was charged on Friday with indecent assault on a male and gross indecency in an historic sexual assault investigation started by Gananoque Police in July 2013.

The counts were the third batch of charges to be laid against Lucy. In October of 2013, he was charged with gross indecency and indecent assault on another man. Those incidents are allegedly to have happened between January 1977 and January 1983.

Then in July 2014, while out on bail on the original charges, Lucy was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

He is scheduled to be back in court on March 30 to face the first indecent assault and gross indecency charges as well as the pornography counts.

On the new charges, Lucy was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Brockville.

Lucy is a longtime church organist at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church on Stone St., where he served from 1967 until 2013 when the first charges were laid.

A lifelong resident of Gananoque, he is the son of Grant W. Lucy, founder of the Gananoque Boat Lines, who died in 1976.
