Nathan Michael Labatt was on the court docket on Monday in Humboldt.
Another court appearance was scheduled Monday for a Regina man who was arrested by the Lanigan RCMP in January on charges of sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching and possession of child pornography.
24 year-old Nathan Michael Labatt had the charges adjourned until August 10th back here in Humboldt.
The RCMP began an investigation after they received a complaint of inappropriate text messages between a teenage boy and the alleged suspect.
Labatt was an active volunteer with a number of youth groups within the Roman Catholic church, the Ukrainian catholic church and Scouts Canada, he also attended various youth camps, retreats, and other events with these organizations in the province over the past five years.
On Thursday, a youth was arrested by the Punnichy RCMP and has since been charged with one count of second degree murder in the homicide of a 43 year-old man from the Gordon First Nation.
Clayton Charles Cyr was found deceased in a shed on a residential private property in Punnichy on June 3rd.
An autopsy was conducted and confirmed the man was a victim of homicide.
The RCMP arrested the youth at Punnichy Provincial court who was appearing for an unrelated manner.
The youth will appear in Punnichy court on June 16th at 10am.
The name of the youth will not be released.
