TORONTO — The Cornwall Public Inquiry, a five-year look at the allegations of child sexual abuse and rumours of a pedophile ring in Cornwall, Ont., came with a $50-million price tag.
CBC reports the inquiry, which was established in 2005 to examine public institutions’ response to the allegations in Cornwall, spent $50.2 million by March 15, 2010. The inquiry released its final report in December.
About 60% of the costs went to legal fees for parties at the inquiry, including accused pedophiles, sexual abuse victims and the local Catholic diocese.
In the 1990s, reports of alleged sexual abuse of a former altar boy by a Catholic priest and a probation officer led to a larger-scale investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.
At least 69 alleged victims came forward. Fifteen men were charged, although only one was convicted. Rumours of a pedophile ring in Cornwall swirled and some people complained about the investigation.
Inquiry commissioner Normand Glaude provided a series of recommendations to the province on how to respond in similar circumstances and how to support healing and reconciliation in the future.

That money could have gone to a better use like training more police, more computers for catching the pedephiles. Officers in child sex crimes, who do the job looking for pedephiles online generally burnout in 6 months. Because of the heinous things they see everyday. It’s great some pedephiles were caught, but Officers need more money, more resources, more of everything to catch these creeps. Plus even when thier caught, they get out in 6 months. So people get a majority gov’t, Harper because it’s the liberal hug a thug, ndp bleeding hearts that won’t let the bills get passed, to keep these creeps in jail for 25 to life. So the pedephiles keep destroying our kids lives. WE NEED MAJORITY GOV’T CONCERVATIVE, HARPER. Then he can clean house.

$50 million for a document on recommendations. Recommendations that will go no where.
These should become MANDATORY recommendations with a timeline for these agencies to provide a policy and procedure and a plan of compliance.
It is my opinion that this Ontario government does not hold our children/our future above the need to cover up the crimes against them.

Bill the Vatican of course. If you can’t bring criminal charges against this supposed “Prince of Peace” and divinely appointed gobble gobble talker, you can at least bring civil charges against them.
Remember:
In 300 years the Roman Catholic Church will refer to these times as one in which the church was falsely and malignantly attacked by atheists, non-believers, government and Satanic enemies of Christianity.
They will say:
“Against a massive effort to discredit the piety and chasteness of the clergy with accusations of heinous crimes, the church and her followers fought a protracted battle against this evil… eventually triumphing in the name of Jesus and to the greater glory of the mother church.”
This will come to pass.

The Ontario government does not want to protect children it wants to protect pedophiles. They just paid for a paid foster pedophile in Sudbury to be “protected”.
This is the most vile and corrupt goverment the Province has ever seen. Now they are getting the secrecy czar involved.
