A retired Ontario priest who’s a convicted sex offender has now been charged with indecently assaulting two Saskatoon children more than 50 years ago.

William Hodgson Marshall, 89, is currently in custody in Kingston after being sentenced last June to two years in prison for sexual assaults against boys dating back to the 1950s.

Marshall was a priest and teacher at a high school the complainants attended downtown on the 400 block of 22nd St. E. The school no longer exists.

On Tuesday, the Saskatoon police said Marshall has been charged in connection with indecent assaults that took place in 1959 and 1960.

The two alleged victims, now both 66 years old, were 14 years old at the time. Police didn’t say if they were male or female.

The Crown prosector’s office is arranging for a court appearance to take place in Ontario, Saskatoon police said.

A former high school teacher is being charged for a pair of indecent assaults that reportedly occurred in Saskatoon in 1959 and 1960.

Father William Hodgson Marshall was a priest and teacher St. Paul’s High School between 1958 and 1961… that high school since closed in 1967.

He plead guilty to similar charges back in July, 2011 in Ontario, and is currently serving a 2 year sentence.

Constable Tisha-Rae Stonehouse with Saskatoon Police says complaints were filed by 2 former students, both now aged 66 years old, last summer after Marshall recorded his guilty plea, “It was in 2011, July, that we had received 2 separate reports indicating assaults had occurred while William Hodgson Marshall was a priest and teacher at St. Paul’s High School.”

Stonehouse says the crown prosecutor’s office is arranging the details for Marshall to make a court appearance in Ontario.

A former Catholic priest is facing charges of sexual assault against boys while he was teaching in Saskatoon over 50 years ago.

Right now 89-year-old William Hodgson Marshall is sitting in a jail cell in Kingston Ontario on sex charge convictions. Now he will face two more alleged victims who have come forward in Saskatoon.

The alleged victims are 66 years old but they were 14 when they say they were assaulted one in 1959 and one in 1960. Police received two separate reports of these atrocities in July 2011.

Constable Tisharae Stonehouse with Saskatoon Police said the alleged assaults happened in Saint Paul’s Catholic High School on 22 Street near Avenue D. The school was demolished but Marshall was a priest and a teacher there when the alleged victims attended.

Saskatchewan’s Crown Prosecutor’s office is arranging for Marshall to go to court in Kingston Ontario where he is already serving time in jail for other sex convictions.
