Written by Catholic Register Staff Fr. William “Hod” Marshall is facing additional sexual assault charges in Sudbury and Toronto.
Three new charges were brought in Toronto where the Basilian priest taught at St. Michael’s College School in the 1950s. On Oct. 13 Marshall was also charged with six counts of gross indecency and six counts of indecent assault stemming from incidents alleged to have occurred while he was a teacher at St. Charles College in Sudbury between 1960 and 1970.
Marshall already faced charges of sexual assault and indecent assault in Windsor for incidents which are alleged to have occurred in the 1950s and 1980s.
His lawyer told the Toronto Star charges from all three cities will be heard before one judge and one Crown prosecutor in Windsor. There are now 16 complainants from three Ontario cities spanning four decades, from the 1950s through the 1980s.
None of the charges has been proven in court.
Marshall, now 88, lives in a home for retired priests in Toronto.
Thanks Sylvia.
