A Northwest Territories priest who faces seven counts of sexually assaulting children has been released on bail after appearing in court on Tuesday. Bail for Rev. Eric Dejaeger , 42, was set at $85,000.
Father Dejaeger, the Roman Catholic priest in Baker Lake, NWT, for the past six years, is originally from Belgium. He was ordered to surrender his passport before leaving for a Catholic retreat in Manitoba. He must stay at the retreat and report to RCMP each week until his preliminary hearing in November. “CP
