The case of a former priest from the chaleur region has once again been adjourned.  Charles Picot was scheduled to appear in Bathurst court in order to face charges of indecent assault, gross indecency and sexual assault.  Picot was not in court this morning, however lawyer Dave Paulin spoke on his behalf saying the former priest in his late 60’s was experiencing health issues and that Picot’s layer wanted time to review the file.  The charges date back to the 1980’s.  Picot is expected to make his first appearance in court July 21st.

Why won’t the judge say enough. This you last adjournment you must show. I was just read R vs Amos about this particular issue. If there is medical evidence for the health issue put it in an affidavit.
