That is a very young Raymond Lahey. The picture is from the 1955 Adelphian yearbook (Yes, Lahey was a student at St. Bonaventrue College in St. John’s, Newfoundland)

I posted that particular picture because the audio file was too large for me to post directly in the site. In order to get it posted through You Tube I had to put a picture in with the audio file. I am uncertain if, for this purpose, I would be infringing copyright on pictures which I have been in the news over the last two days. I decided best to stick with a picture which I have on my computer.

Very good interview and I liked the comments of the people. Lahey is not the catholic church. He ruined his life. Whether he is laysized or not he will never function as a minister in the church in his life. He is already became a layman when he resigned and the accusations were known to Rome. Who knows he has already received that information by word from Rome from the officials of Rome? He is dead to hisown family, friends and to the church. What better punishment one needs in life. He is a cropse now.
Because of the heinous and shameful crimes of this man and other priests, the good priests and bishops also suffer. I feel sorry for the good ones.

I find it always , so offensive and repulsive when I hear the ” good Catholics” regard these atrocities against the most vulnerable human beings within our world , which have been bred, perpetuated, orchestrated and executed by the church , as merely “ another storm to weather , we have weathered many before.”
    How insulting and degrading.

  4. Larry Green says:

Tom, I have been a Catholic for 58 years and I can’t tell you how many of the “good ones” along with their co-conspirators for whom I felt sorry have made a fool of me and a myriad of other parents, children and faithful .

  5. Tom says:

    Larry ,
You have a right to yourown opinions so do I .I am not a catholic 0f 58 years. Much less years than that. That does not mean that everything you say is correct or right.
If you were accurate in everything you write on this site, why people still go to church? Why people still believe in the Catholic church? Why people still trust the catholic priests?

Is there any curtailment on his out of country travel – Curtailment of international travel should be in place for the rest of his life. He did not voluntarily go for help – he was caught. This man should never set foot in a third world country again. And thanks to the media and this site, he will be red-flagged in Canada. Protection of the vulnerable should be the focus now.
