Sentencing?

A reminder that Father Jacques Faucher has a court date this afternoon at 2 pm:

16 February  2017:   2 pm, decision, Ottawa Ontario courthouse (161 Elgin St.)

It is expected that Father Faucher, a priest with the Archdiocese of Ottawa, Ontario who was convicted on six counts of indecent assault and gross indecency nearly one full year ago (March 2016), will be sentenced today.   I hope and pray that Faucher’s recent charges of breach of release conditions does not impede sentencing.   As most of you are aware, Father Faucher had a court date in Gaitneau Quebec this past Monday.  Unfortunately I have been unable to find any media coverage regarding the outcome of that court date – will try to find out today what is happening.  I suppose it is possible that the charges were sent over to Ottawa?

We shall see.

I encourage those who can do so to attend this afternoon, both to support the victims, and to find out what is happening.  Unfortunately I will not be able to attend 🙂

Please keep the victims in your prayers, and please pray that justice is done.

Enough for now,

Sylvia
