Tomorrow morning the judge is to render the verdict in the Father Jacques Faucher trial.

Wednesday 30 March 2016:  09:30 am, VERDICT,  Ottawa Ontario courthouse (161 Elgin St.)

I encourage all those who can do so to attend, both to support the complainants and to witness the proceedings.  Yes, there is a possibility that the verdict will be rendered in French, but it will be easy to determine very quickly what the judge’s decision is on each count.

Please keep the complainants and their families in your prayers.

The name of Father Amer Saka and a link to page with further information has been added to the Accused list.

As you can see, Father Saka is a priest with the Chaldean Catholic Church in Canada. The Chaldean Catholic Church is in communion with Rome.  Unfortunately I can not, however, find any information regarding the Chaldean Church in Canada in the Canadian Catholic Church directories, nor can I find Father Saka’s name in the index, hence at this point I have no idea when he was ordained.

He allegedly gambled the money?

Over $500,000!

Another gambler?

Sounds a little familiar?

We shall see.  If and when charges are laid and it goes to trial, or a guilty plea, we shall see.  At this point it seems the police investigation is on going.

You people in the Sudbury area, or within driving distance of the Sudbury courthouse, mark your calendars now.

A civil trial stemming from a lawsuit against  Father John E. Sullivan and the Diocese of Sudbury Ontario is scheduled to commence this coming Monday, 04 April 2016.  The trial is scheduled to run for three weeks.

Monday 04 April 2016:   09:30 am for jury selection.  The trial will proceed after jury selected, probably in the afternoon of the 4th., at the Sudbury, Ontario court house (360 Plouffe Street).

Please note that once the trial  begins the usual daily start time is 10 am.  In other words, on Monday 04 April the case will start at -9:30 am to select the jury.  Once the jury has been selected (probably by  Monday afternoon), and barring any decision by the judge to start earlier or later, the regular daily start time will be 10 am.

Please keep the victims in your prayers.

I pray that you each had a happy and holy Easter.  It’s hard to believe it’s come and gone!  And, still snow on the ground here.  It’s melting quite quickly now, but, – there’s still snow on the ground.

Enough for now,
