Court dates for the week:
(1) Father Jacques Faucher
Faucher is charged with gross indecency and indecent assault on a male for a “series of inappropriate contacts” with the boy that are alleged to have occurred between 1971 and 1973.
sex abuse TRIAL started 08 February 2016 and was scheduled to run for three weeks. Unfortunately the trial is being conducted in French and there seems to be no media coverage. If I could understand just a smattering of French I would be down in that courtroom, both to support the complainants and to hear the evidence and arguments. I did go down once for the preliminary and was totally lost – didn’t have a clue at all what was happening.
I am hoping when the trial is over I will be able to talk to someone who can give us an idea of what happened in that courtroom at trial.
Please keep the complainants in your prayers
(2) Brian Lucy
Brian Lucy, the previously convicted former organist at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Gananoque, Ontario (Kingston Archdiocese) had a TENTATIVE trial date set for today..
As I noted on the Lucy thread, I just called to find out if the Lucy trial actually started today. Unfortunately all the computers at the courthouse are down. I will be calling back in a few hours when, hopefully, the computers will be up and running again and we can find out what the status is on this second set of criminal charges which Lucy is now facing.
Please keep the complainants in your prayers
(3) Father John Sullivan (Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario)
Previously convicted child molester Father John Sullivan has yet another court date tomorrow in North Bay, Ontario:
Tuesday 23 February 2016: 09:30 am, “to be spoken to,” courtroom #101, North Bay, Ontario court house (360 Plouffe Street)
As always, please keep the complainants in your prayers
(4) Donald Grecco
Ex priest and convicted child molester Donald Grecco has a courtdate tomorrow on the Caygua charges. I think this may be a case of transferring these charges to St. Catharine’s? Anyway, here is the info:
Tuesday 23 February 2016: 2 pm, “to be spoken to,” Cayuga court house (55 Munsee St. N., Cayuga, Ontario
Please keep the complainants in your prayers
(5) Father Linus Bastien (Diocese of London, Ontario)
Father Linus Bastien has a court date tomorrow:
Tuesday, 25 February 2016: 10 am, application certiorari, Windsor Superior Court of Justice (245 Windsor Avenue)
This is a continuation of Bastien’s attempt to avoid trial (trial date is set for o7 March 2016)
I am hoping that some of you in the Windsor area will be able to attend to find out what his arguments are to avoid trial, and what the judge has to say.
And, yes, please keep the complainants in your prayers.
Enough for now,
Sylvia
